  • Patent number: 8940242
Abstract: Exhaust gas treatment substrates, and systems and methods including the same are provided. Catalyst substrates having flow properties where in configuring an outer, peripheral zone, more exhaust gas flows through a central zone as compared to the outer, peripheral zone. The outer, peripheral zone can have a trapping or adsorbing material on surfaces of its passages, or it can have a longer axial length as compared to the inner zone, or its passages can have smaller openings as compared to the inner zone. In one embodiment, an overcoat containing a trapping material such as a hydrocarbon trap is applied to an inlet end. In another embodiment, catalyst having an oxygen storage component is applied to an outlet end.

  • Patent number: 8031451
Abstract: A solid state power control module contains non-volatile memory. A switch for opening is provided to break a supply of power to a component. The switch is operable to trip (open) when an undesirable condition is detected, and further to be opened upon receiving a control signal. A status of the switch is stored in the non-volatile memory. A detector is provided for identifying when a module has been mounted in a housing, and communicates with the non-volatile memory if it is determined that the module is newly installed in a housing. A system and method are also claimed.

  • Patent number: 7948723
Abstract: An exemplary ground fault detection device is capable of detecting a ground fault on multiple phases. The ground fault detection device includes a monitoring module that monitors the phases and determines if there is a non-zero electrical energy value sum for a selected interval on each phase. An output module provides a ground fault indication when all of the phases have a non-zero electrical energy sum for the selected interval.

  • Patent number: 6123345
Abstract: A backflow preventor caddy is provided including a pair elongated rails and a plurality of cross supports having a first cross support mounted between the rails, a second cross support mounted perpendicularly between the rails the first distance from the first cross support, and a third cross support mounted perpendicularly between the rails the second distance from the first cross support. The cart further includes at least one wheel assembly mounted on the rails for transporting the cart with the back flow preventor/meter mounted thereon.

  • Patent number: 5685145
Abstract: In an exhaust gas system comprising a hydrocarbon trap (28) and a downstream catalyst zone (30), a heat exchange catalyst member (10) is incorporated into the system to provide heat exchange between the exhaust gas and air that is pumped through the heat exchange catalyst member (10). The heated air is injected into the exhaust gas stream to facilitate the oxidation of hydrocarbons in the downstream catalyst zone. The heat exchange catalyst member (10) defines two separate flow paths therethrough, one of the flow paths containing a catalyst zone for the exhaust gas. In an alternative embodiment, the injected air is heated by a heat exchange trap (28') or by a separate heating element (62).

  • Patent number: 5586898
Abstract: An electrical connector apparatus has a male connector and a female connector. The male connector has a first housing. There is a plurality of first wiring terminals in a first wiring chamber and a plurality of prongs electrically connected to the first wiring terminals. A first T-shaped longitudinal locking foot is attached to a first outer surface of the first housing. A female connector is removably attached to the male connector. The female connector has a second housing. A second wiring chamber is in the second housing. A plurality of second wiring terminals is in the second wiring chamber. There is a plurality of prong receptors electrically connected to the second wiring terminals. These prong receptors are located in the second housing. A first T-shaped longitudinal locking channel is attached to a second outer surface of the second housing to slidingly and removably receive the first T-shaped longitudinal locking foot.
