    Abstract: This invention relates to a protection device adapted for protecting objects. Primarily, the protection device of this invention is intended to protect bales of hay, straw or similar materials. The protection device of this invention includes a series of overlapping elongated slats with projections on the side adapted to abut the bales being protected to insure that the protection device is slightly removed from the contents of the bales so that air may pass between the underside of the protection device and the surface of the bales being protected and means for attaching adjacent slats together to form the protection device.
