    Abstract: A theft-resistant display case includes a housing having a lower storage section and an upper display section mounted above the storage section. The storage section has an obscuring exterior wall and the display section has an exterior wall that is at least partly transparent. A platform is movably mounted within the housing for supporting items to be displayed. The platform is selectively raised into a first position in the housing wherein items supported on the platform are displayed in the upper section of the housing. The platform is selectively lowered into a second position in the housing wherein items supported on the platform are stored in the lower section of the housing. An obscuring closure, which includes a roll-up grill, is selectively interposed between the upper and lower sections when the platform is in the second position such that the platform and items supported thereon are enclosed within the lower section of the housing and hidden from view.
