  • Patent number: 6253754
Abstract: Bowstrings and buss cables for compound bows have end servings with improved durability and longer life. The end servings of the bowstrings and cables are formed using flattened multi-fiber material. The multi-fiber material is wrapped in an overlapping fashion around the bowstring and cables where protection is needed. The material is further wrapped with a bias greater than a conventional side-by-side wrapped end serving. The improved servings are either applied over conventional end servings or applied directly over a bowstring as a replacement for conventional end servings. The invention is particularly useful wherever the bowstring contacts an eccentric.

  • Patent number: 5286035
Abstract: An arrowhead for use in the sport of archery hunting, which has a sharpened blade, pivotally mounted within a slot in the body of the arrowhead. The blade is held in a temporarily stationary position, centered within the slot, by a rubber o-ring, until such time as the arrowhead begins to penetrate the animal. Upon penetration the rubber o-ring slides rearward onto the arrow shaft, thus allowing the blade to pivot to either side of the arrowhead body. This design allows for decreased resistance when the blade strikes a hard surface within the body of the animal, thus the arrowhead achieves greater penetration into the body of the animal, causing a longer cut and therefore increased bleeding. This will result in a quicker and more humane kill.

  • Patent number: 4617741
Abstract: A rangefinding device wherein a series of movable lines are created electronically via the use of a liquid crystal display and associated circuitry. When a target of a known size, such as a deer, is "bracketed" exactly between two of these lines, the correct yardage is indicated on another portion of the liquid crystal display. The device has utility for both hunting and target purposes. The device is battery operated and is small enough and light enough to be mounted on any standard recurve bow, compound bow, or crossbow.
