  • Publication number: 20240191747
Abstract: An improved configuration for a bearing housing assembly is disclosed herein in which a ring can be configured to be secured in at least two positions such that the bearing assembly positioned inside of the housing can be retained in either a fixed state or a floating state. The ring can be configured to be secured at least partially within the housing in at least a first configuration and a second configuration, such that: (i) the ring is configured to abut the bearing assembly in the first configuration such that the bearing assembly is axially fixed relative to the housing, and (ii) the ring is configured to be spaced apart from the bearing assembly in the second configuration such that the bearing assembly is axially displaceable within the housing.

  • Publication number: 20210262523
Abstract: A bearing cage includes a first annular body having a plurality of circumferentially arranged fingers that extending axially therefrom. Each of the fingers have a tab with a first arcuate engagement surface. A second annular body has a plurality of circumferentially arranged finger-receiving holes extending axially and configured to receive the fingers. Each of the holes have an associated second arcuate engagement surface configured to engage with the first arcuate engagement surface when the fingers are received in the holes to secure the first and second bodies together to form the bearing cage.

  • Publication number: 20160178011
Abstract: A radial rolling bearing assembly is provided which includes first and second radial rolling bearings having respective bearing cups that include respective bearing races, respective radially extending flanges at first axial ends and respective bearing axial flanges with respective connector elements at the second axial ends. Respective cages hold rolling elements in the bearing cups that contact the races and define respective bearing support surfaces that can support, for example, a shaft or housing. A connector sleeve connects the first and second radial rolling bearings. The connector sleeve includes a first axial end with a first complementary connector that engages the first connector element, and a second axial end with a second complementary connector that engages the second connector element.

  • Publication number: 20160076593
Abstract: A roller bearing cage and a roller bearing assembly are provided. The roller bearing cage has a cylindrical body formed with a plurality of pockets and a first cage rim at a first axial end of the body, the first cage rim including one or more axial passages. The cage has a second cage rim at a second axial end of the body, the second cage rim including one of more second axial passages.

  • Publication number: 20110235959
Abstract: A cage for a radial roller bearing of limited width availability, which has a first flange, a second flange spaced from the first flange, and cage bars that extend between the first flange and the second flange so as to form a plurality of roller pockets. The cage bars, together with the first flange and the second flange form an S-shaped or a Z-shaped contour. The cage aids in properly guiding roller elements in bearings of limited widths. The cage prevents rolling elements from overrunning or under running the cage bar. The cage also provides for proper contact of the rolling elements to push the cage around the radial bearing. Further, the cage allows for inner retention, outer retention, or both inner and outer retention of the rolling elements.
