    Abstract: The present invention provides a synthetic thatch element for building construction including an elongate polymer strip with one or more texture elements on at least one surface to provide a natural appearance. Thatch elements according to the invention can be incorporated into thatch element constructions for use in building construction. The present invention also provides methods for producing textured thatch elements.
