  • Patent number: 11097790
Abstract: A method of extending a truck cab includes removing the cab rear panel, providing a cab rear opening with an upper margin and two side margins. An extender joins the truck cab, the extender having a forward opening with an upper margin and side margins that are recessed. A top fillet and two side fillets join the margins of the extender opening and have curvatures that match curvatures of top and side corners of the cab. The extender is placed against the truck cab with the extender opening margins in abutment with the cab opening margins. The fillets are in flush contact with the upper corner and side corners of the cab. Bolts secure the extender opening margins to the cab opening margins.

  • Patent number: 7562892
Abstract: A trailer connection assembly connects a trailer to the vehicle having a bed. The trailer connection assembly has a base adapted to be placed in the bed of the vehicle. A support assembly is secured on the base for relative movement so that a distance between the support assembly and the base varies as the support assembly rotates relative to the support frame. The trailer connection assembly includes a trailer connector located on the support assembly. The trailer connection assembly also includes a suspension assembly positioned between the support assembly and the base. The suspension assembly dampens the movement of support assembly relative to the base.

  • Publication number: 20030037979
Abstract: A fire truck cab mounts over an engine and tilts forward for access to the engine. The truck has a cab has a notched rear wall, the notch being a vertically-extending recess. A vertical component stack mounts to the truck frame and fits within the notch when the cab is lowered. The component stack includes various components that are typically carried under the cab, such as an air filter, a hydraulic reservoir and a radiator-fluid expansion tank. The cab has rear or jump seats that are located alongside and no higher than the truck frame.
