  • Patent number: 7761845
Abstract: A method for parameterizing a user module. A first design application corresponding to a parameter of a user module is accessed, wherein the user module is a pre-configured electronic design to be implemented on a microcontroller. The parameter is adjusted within the first design application to derive parameterized data. In response to a command, the parameterized data is automatically loaded into a second design application.

  • Publication number: 20100079083
Abstract: Remote lighting control methods, devices and systems are disclosed. One embodiment of the present invention pertains to a light device. The light device includes a light source for emitting light and a control circuit for setting an intensity level of the light source based on receipt of control data via a power line when the light device is electrically coupled to the power line. The control data is generated in response to user input to an input panel of a remote lighting control module for the light device. In addition, the light device comprises a unique address associated with a region on the input panel.

  • Patent number: 7504833
Abstract: Disclosed is method for compensating for variation in the capacitance between multiple capacitive sensors. Prior to sensing operations, baseline capacitance values can be acquired for all sensors. A correction factor can be calculated based on such baseline values. During sensing operations (run-time), variations in capacitance from baseline values can be modified by appropriate correction factors. Sensitivity between sensors can thus be made more uniform.

  • Publication number: 20080263328
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to a method and system for accessing a set of parallel registers orthogonally. A decoder may be used to select a particular row or column of the set of parallel registers to perform register operations in a parallel fashion corresponding to the selected row or in an orthogonal fashion corresponding to the selected column. Thus, when a particular row is selected, a register operation may be carried out for each bit of the selected row to produce a parallel register output, such as by reading/writing each bit of the selected row to a parallel register. On the other hand, when a particular column is selected, a register operation may be carried out for each bit of the selected column, such as by reading/writing each bit of the selected column to an orthogonal register. The orthogonal register access allows for fast and efficient access to a particular bit in the set of parallel registers.

  • Patent number: 7100139
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to a method for configuring functional interconnections in a programmable device. The method comprises displaying a graphical user interface, which presents a graphical depiction of the programmable device, selecting a functional user module in the graphical user interface, selecting an interconnect input or output on the user module and displaying a graphical representation of allowable connections for the pin by highlighting those allowable connections in the graphical user interface. The desired interconnection is then selected and selection options for configuring the interconnection can be presented in and selected from a pop-up window or a drop-down list in the graphical user interface.
