  • Patent number: 10322882
Abstract: A pneumatic impulse conveyor motor using opposed pairs of linear-activated bellows to reciprocate a drive plate. The drive plate is rotatably connected to an array of conveyor trays through a plurality of parallel spaced shafts to convert the linear motion of the bellows to a radial motion useful for reciprocating the array of conveyor trays.

  • Patent number: 7225725
Abstract: A pneumatic motor for providing bi-directional linear motion including a motor housing having a cylinder bore and a piston mounted on a piston rod positioned in the cylinder bore. The ends of the piston rod extend beyond the ends of the cylinder bore. The cylinder bore has a liner which acts to provide lubrication for movement of the piston in the cylinder bore and to provide a seal between the piston and the cylinder bore. The motor can be used to provide the drive means for a linear motion conveyor.

  • Publication number: 20060201787
Abstract: A drive system for moving a conveyor member to move objects along the conveyor member includes a driven member for operative connection to the conveyor member and a pneumatic assembly operatively connected to the driven member. The pneumatic assembly is operable to drive the driven member in one direction to advance objects supported on the conveyor member and to drive the driven member in a second direction opposite to the first direction such that the conveyor member moves relative to the objects supported thereon. The drive system also includes a control valve that is operatively connected to a source of pressurized air and in fluid communication with the pneumatic assembly, wherein the control valve operates to sequentially cycle pressurized air to alternating ends of the pneumatic assembly so as to induce repeated, rectilinear movement of the conveyor member.

  • Patent number: 7083042
Abstract: A pneumatically actuated, beltless conveyor assembly includes a housing, a drive system supported by the housing and at least one transport tray supported by the housing and operatively connected to the drive system. The drive system includes a seal-less pneumatic engine having at least one pair of opposed, pneumatic drive bellow assemblies. One of the drive bellow assemblies acts to drive the transport tray in one direction at a first predetermined speed to advance materials supported on the transport tray in the direction of the length of the tray. The other of the pair of drive bellow assemblies acts to drive the transport tray in a second direction opposite to the first direction and at a second, predetermined speed that is different from the first predetermined speed such that the transport tray moves relative to the material supported thereon.

  • Patent number: 6311832
Abstract: A beltless magnetic conveyor assembly including a housing defining a longitudinal length of the conveyor and a magnetic rack assembly moveably supported in the housing. The magnetic rack assembly includes a plurality of magnet assemblies supported at spaced intervals relative to one another along the longitudinal length of the conveyor. The beltless magnetic conveyor assembly also includes a drive system which is operable to index the magnetic rack assembly between a home position proximate to one end of the housing and an end position which is proximate to an opposite end of the housing over the same path. The magnet assemblies are operable to generate a magnetic force which acts to attract ferromagnetic material toward the housing and to move the ferromagnetic material in the direction of the longitudinal length of the conveyor when the magnet rack assembly is indexed in one direction.

  • Patent number: 6250475
Abstract: A magnetic separator includes a housing defining a product flow path through which material may pass. The separator also includes a drawer and a plurality of non-magnetic tubes operatively connected to the drawer and within which are supported a corresponding plurality of magnets. The drawer is movable between a first position wherein the plurality of magnets are positioned within the product flow path and a second position wherein the plurality of magnets are withdrawn from the flow path. A stripper plate is disposed between the housing and the drawer. The stripper plate has a plurality of apertures corresponding to and in close conforming contact with the plurality of non-magnetic tubes and through which the plurality of tubes pass as the drawer is moved between its first and second positions.
