Patent number: 11271792Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for use in a Simple Network Management Protocol (“SNMP”) computing environment, by which efficiency of computing systems employing SNMP may be improved. An SNMP message is parsed, and the parsed information used to construct a binary tree. By using a binary tree, which is a data object that consumes less memory resources, efficiency of interactions between elements of the SNMP computing environment are improved. A method can include receiving a SNMP request for data. Then, the SNMP request is parsed and a binary tree constructed from the parsed SNMP request. The binary tree includes a plurality of type-length-value nodes. The length value of each non-leaf node is the summation of the length values of all the child nodes below the non-leaf node; and the length value of each leaf node is the length of the data requested.Type: GrantFiled: January 18, 2019Date of Patent: March 8, 2022Assignee: Hewlett Packard Enterprise Development LPInventors: Dennis Tseng, Min-Lin Lu, Jason Chuang, Yi-Ning Chen

Publication number: 20170280582Abstract: A security bezel for a server such as a rack mounted server includes a triggered securing mechanism at one end of the security bezel. The securing mechanism includes a trigger that when actuated, causes securing members deploy from the securing mechanism to engage corresponding recesses in the server, thereby attaching the security bezel to the server. The deployed securing members may be locked in position, thereby locking the security bezel to the server. The security bezel may be unlocked, allowing for retraction of the securing members to an undeployed state and detachment of the security bezel from a server.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 24, 2016Publication date: September 28, 2017Inventors: Po-Li (Nelson) Hsieh, Chuan Chieh (Dennis) Tseng

Patent number: 6940652Abstract: An optical image retrieval method, which makes optical input devices work on transparent media, which method generates a light and projects it in a vertical direction. The light is directed to a light-splitter and transmitted to an image contacting surface under a transparent medium. Optical image signals retrieved on the image contacting surface are reflected to the light-splitter, and then an optical axis of the image signals is reflected to a lens by the light-splitter once or more. Finally, the lens will focus the image signals onto an image detecting element.Type: GrantFiled: January 30, 2004Date of Patent: September 6, 2005Assignee: Pacer Technology Co., Ltd.Inventor: Dennis Tseng

Publication number: 20050128107Abstract: A photoconductive encoder structure has a grating cogwheel made of light-pervious materials, a sensor and two luminescence elements perpendicular to each other. An incident surface of the grating cogwheel surrounds a protruding surface, and protruding wheel parts divided in equal arc-shapes surround the grating cogwheel for focusing light from a light source by the protruding surface of the grating cogwheel. Moreover, the light is refracted to the corresponding protruding wheel parts for focusing again. Finally, the light is transmitted to the sensor to generate different phase sequence signals. Owing to the structure, a number of cogs surrounding a grating cogwheel is increased, and, at the same time, the structure does not affect convenience in the production process.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 15, 2003Publication date: June 16, 2005Inventor: Dennis Tseng

Patent number: 5384460Abstract: An encoder with a light emitted editing wheel comprises an editing wheel defines a wheel body and a hole in its middle portion. The editing wheel is made from transparent material, such glass, acrylic etc. The editing wheel is mounted on a shaft member and can be actuated to rotate thereon via suitable actuating means. A plurality of light focusing means being disposed along the circumference of the editing wheel. A light receiving means is provided radially on the wheel body. The light focusing means is interconnected with the light receiving means and capable of focusing a light source transmitted from the light receiving means into a plurality of light point. A light source is disposed at a perpendicular position above the editing wheel. The light source is capable of sending a light to the light receiving means of the editing wheel. And a sensor means is disposed adjacent to the light focusing means. A pair of light detecting means are provided at the sensor means thereon.Type: GrantFiled: November 3, 1993Date of Patent: January 24, 1995Assignees: Silitek Corporation, Dennis TsengInventor: Dennis Tseng
