  • Publication number: 20110246308
Abstract: A preference management component for a hosted communications campaign system is shared among different types of permitted user roles (e.g., administrators, customer service representatives, and consumers) and enables those users to define and maintain a set of consumer preferences or attributes related to communication by the system. The platform uses a common database schema and display formats for the various users, but the user's ability to define, view and manage given preferences is role-based. Using the platform, permitted users define and manage consumer preferences and events and subscriptions associated therewith. To facilitate extensibility and customization, a service provider client can define and manage a set of extended preference data attributes.

  • Publication number: 20080039048
Abstract: A system and method for permitting communication with a supervised wireless device upon which incoming call restrictions have been placed in the event an emergency service provider attempts to communicate with the supervised wireless device. The emergency service provider, such as a 911 call center, can communicate with a supervised wireless device once incoming call restrictions on the wireless device are disabled. The incoming call restrictions on the supervised wireless device may be disabled during a time interval or until a specific event occurs. The time interval may be resetable, and the event may be an indication of a priority call from an emergency service provider. The disabled restriction may include all restrictions, or a subset of restrictions, such as time of day or incoming call ID restrictions. Calls placed to or received from the emergency service provider may be in the form of voice communications, SMS, MMS, IM, email messages or any other available form.

  • Publication number: 20050282559
Abstract: A system for controlling wireless phone usage enables a supervisor to establish user profiles for supervised users of wireless phones across a range of parameters, which are stored in a user profile database. Such parameters can include one or more locations, at which use of the wireless phone is restricted or permitted. In addition, restrictions on phone use, such as cumulative usage time, number of messages or number of bytes, can be provided based upon total phone usage within a specified control period, time periods, dates or days of the week during which phone use is restricted or permitted. One or more lists including numbers or other identifiers that are always-accessible can be provided, and one or more lists including numbers or other identifiers that are never-accessible can also be provided. In the event a call, message or browse does not satisfy predefined criteria, the communication attempt is blocked.

  • Publication number: 20030177028
Abstract: A system and methods for enabling access to one or more accounts associated with a Mobile Directory Number (MDN), wherein transactional tasks may be enacted, are disclosed. Such a system includes a server coupled to receive an input transaction request from a user through a point-of-entry device and coupled to a database that corresponds the MDN to the logical address of a user account. The server includes a processor for accessing the database to identify the logical address of the MDN-associated account. A method for using the system is also disclosed in which a user enacts a transaction with an account associated with an MDN. The method includes obtaining the MDN and transaction request from a point of entry device, identifying the account using a database that corresponds MDN with account logical address, and enacting the requested transaction on the identified account using access information obtained from the database.
