Patent number: 11660950Abstract: A battery support structure for a vehicle includes a first peripheral member configured to be supported by a longitudinal section of a vehicle frame. A second peripheral member has an end surface that selectively attaches at an inside surface of the first peripheral member to enclose a corner section of a battery containment area. Prior to fixed attachment of the first and second peripheral members, a slip plane is defined between the end surface and the inside surface to adjust the second peripheral member along the first peripheral member to a predefined dimension of the battery containment area.Type: GrantFiled: March 15, 2022Date of Patent: May 30, 2023Assignee: Shape Corp.Inventors: Joseph R. Patent number: 8753700Abstract: A method for heating a food item includes providing a structure for supporting a food item, a heater capable of heating the structure and the food item, a sensor for sensing a temperature of at least one of the structure and the food item, and a controller for controlling the operation of the heater. The sensor senses the temperature of at least one of the structure and the food item. In one embodiment, the heater is operated on a rethermalization cycle to raise the temperature sensed by the sensor to a cook temperature. The rethermalization cycle may be initiated manually or automatically upon the temperature sensed by the sensor falling below a lower limit temperature. The heater is operated to cook the food item on a cook duty cycle as a function of the temperature sensed by the sensor.Type: GrantFiled: July 1, 2010Date of Patent: June 17, 2014Assignee: Haven Innovation, Inc.Inventors: Donald W. Wisner, Dennis V. Rupar, Terry L. Plumert

Patent number: 8438786Abstract: A flexible venue system includes a system that can be configured in multiple ways depending on the type of event being hosted. This system can be applied in whole or in part to telescopic seating platforms or similar structures which may include multiple usable tiers, movable between an extended configuration and a retracted configuration, and the potential for at least one partially retracted configuration. The system may include any or both of a program support system integrated into or assembled to the system prior to retraction; and vertically adjustable seating configurations for use with the platform systems. The present invention is intended to aid in venue changeover and reduce overall cost, instructions and labor required to do so.Type: GrantFiled: July 22, 2010Date of Patent: May 14, 2013Assignee: Irwin Seating CompanyInventors: Frederick D. Jacobs, Michiel P. van de Ven, Dennis V. Rupar, Jonathan D. Emery, Joshua A. Bordewyk, Ivan J. Furbish

Publication number: 20100192477Abstract: A platform system includes swing arms for moving the platform from a lowered position to a raised position. In one embodiment, a pair of swing arms and a pair of telescoping vertical members are mounted to opposing frame members. The swing arms are capable of moving from a canted position to a vertical position, which extends the telescoping vertical members and raises the platform to the raised position. The swing arms are connected to a drive mechanism that moves the swing arms from the canted position to the vertical position. The drive mechanism may include a gear box, and a pair of lead screws connected to the gear box. The lead screws may extend from opposing sides of the same gear box, with the gear box configured to rotate the differently handed lead screws.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 20, 2010Publication date: August 5, 2010Applicant: TRACK CORP.Inventors: Donald W. Patent number: 7617635Abstract: A multi-configurable platform seating system with chairs mounted to the nose of each deck where seating is desired. The system includes a structural member disposed at the front of each deck, and each chair is removably secured to the deck by a pair of standards that are removably secured to the structural member. The system may include program supports that mount to the standards to support the forward end of a deck without removing any chairs. The program supports are removably mountable so that they can be installed to support decks at different heights when the system is in different configurations. The system may also include a handrail system that is mounted to the standards. The handrail system is removably mountable so that it can be installed in essentially any desired location as the system is placed in different configurations. The system may also be reconfigurable to convert a section of seating into a team box.Type: GrantFiled: February 14, 2007Date of Patent: November 17, 2009Assignee: Track Corp.Inventors: Frederick D. Jacobs, Dennis V. Rupar, Joshua A. Bordewyk
