  • Publication number: 20030235316
Abstract: A method of creating and duplicating recordings of a live performance for virtually immediate distribution to attendees of such live performance includes the pre-sale of such recordings before or during such performance. During the performance, audio analog signals are converted into digital audio signals and stored by a personal computer as a continuous digital recording. During the performance, the digital recording of such performance is sub-divided into tracks and a master disc is created of the sub-divided recording. One or more of such master discs are then inserted into one or more mass disc duplicators for rapidly producing copies thereof. The copies are then distributed to the attendees of the live performance who have purchased such copies in advance.

  • Patent number: 5999912
Abstract: Dynamic advertising scheduling, display, and tracking for the world wide web. The invention includes at least one template web page that has conventional HTML codes defining the format and content of the web page. Special "ad tags" are used to indicate the characteristics of an ad that can be displayed on a web page at the position of the ad tag. A request to view a page is sent to a server-resident parser. The parser accesses the template for the requested page, parses the conventional HTML codes, and provides such codes to the user. In addition, the parser "expands" each ad tag to standard HTML code that defines the characteristics of an ad. During expansion of ad tags, the parser determines from each ad tag the type of ad that can be inserted at the page position of the ad tag; a bin identifier defining which ads can be associated with the ad tag; a page identifier of the page associated with the ad tag; and various optional flags and codes.

  • Patent number: 5418549
Abstract: A method is provided for using a scroll bar to select and view exact pages of a document without downloading unwanted pages of the document. Instead of displaying all the pages before a particular page is selected via scroll bar, the method does not display any of the incremental or unwanted pages before the actual selected page is selected, retrieved and displayed.

  • Patent number: 5021997
Abstract: A test automation system (FIG. 1) comprises storage and process components connected by file interfaces. BPLAN (103) creates and stores test descriptions in test information database (102). Tests are stored in test storage hierarchy (100). BSYNC (104) completes test descriptions in database (102) from contents of hierarchy (100). BQUERY (105) examines descriptions and selects tests for execution. TESTLOCS file (106) identifies selected tests. BQUERY (105) uses BBC (118) to communicate requests for tests and test descriptions to other systems. BBCMON (120) causes BQUERY (105) to satisfy requests and uses BBC (118) to communicate responses to requesting systems. BDLOAD (107) gathers tests identified by file (106) from hierarchy (100) into file (117) for downloading from host (10) to target (11) processor. BRUN (109) executes download tests, collects test results in files (110-112), and reports result summaries. BULOAD (113) assembles files (110-112) into file (114) for uploading to processor (10).
