Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for recovering nickel and cobalt from a nickel, iron, and cobalt-containing raw material. According to the present invention, high concentrations of valuable metals, such as nickel and cobalt, can be recovered from a raw material containing nickel, iron, and cobalt, and especially, the concentrations of nickel and cobalt are low and the concentration of iron is high, and thus when nickel is leached, and relatively large amount of iron is leached, whereas a small amount of nickel is leached. Therefore, the present invention can be more suitably applied in the smelting of nickel ore in which the separation of iron and nickel is difficult.

  • Publication number: 20070152553
Abstract: A plasma display panel adapted to minimize noise/vibration as well as a heat generated therefrom. In the plasma display panel, a display panel displays a picture while a porous pad is provided behind the display panel to prevent the transfer of noise/vibration to an associated heat proof panel. When the PDP is mounted within a case, a second porous pad can be provided on an inner surface of the case opposite the display panel and adjacent to an associated printed circuit board for additional noise/vibration damping.

  • Publication number: 20060091754
Abstract: A motor has a field magnet assembly comprising a plurality of magnets arranged in the circumferential direction of the field magnet assembly such that like polarities face each other, and a plurality of magnet spacers disposed between the magnets, respectively. Consequently, leakage of magnetic flux of the field magnet assembly is minimized, and torque is improved as compared to a conventional motor having the same stacking and capacity. In a washing machine with the motor, the magnets and the magnet spacers are integrally attached to the outer tub of the washing machine. Consequently, the size of the washing machine is minimized. The sizes of the inner and outer tubs are increased when the washing machine according to the present invention has the same size as the conventional washing machine. Consequently, the capacity of the washing machine is increased.

  • Publication number: 20050179381
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a plasma display panel in which afterimage is improved. The plasma display panel according to the present invention includes a panel unit having an upper plate and a lower plate, a frame that supports circuitry, and a conductive material formed between the panel unit and the frame. As such, a conductive material is formed on a bottom surface of a lower plate of a panel. Thus, charges introduced into the lower plate are properly controlled to improve the waveform stability of the panel. Also, a charge characteristic is improved to implement a stable operation. Accordingly, an afterimage time can be reduced. Further, a sheet of a low hardness and light weight is used. It is thus possible to absorb shock and noise of a PDP, accomplish light weight of the PDP and reduce the materials of the sheet.

  • Publication number: 20050070083
Abstract: A wafer-level CSP (200) includes at least one die (202) from a wafer. The wafer-level CSP has a plurality of solder ball pads (206), a solder ball (308) at each solder ball pad and a polymer collar (310) around each solder ball. A moat (204) is formed in the surface of a polymer layer (412) disposed on the wafer during manufacturing of the wafer-level CSP. A temporarily liquified residual (502) from the polymer collar, which occurs while the wafer is heated to the reflow temperature of the solder ball, flows from the polymer collar. The moat acts as a barrier to material flow, limiting the distance that the residual spreads while liquified. The residual from the polymer collar remains within a region (314) defined by the moat. A full-depth moat (312) extends completely through the polymer layer. Alternatively, a partial-depth moat (712 and 912) extends partially through the polymer layer.
