    Abstract: An air-assisted fluid injector has an injector housing having a nozzle bore and an injector nozzle sealably disposed in the nozzle bore and having an exposed injector face on one end that projects from an end of the nozzle bore, the injector nozzle having a fluid conduit on an other end that extends from a fluid inlet toward the injector face and that opens into a plurality of fluid outlet conduits that extend to a corresponding plurality of fluid outlets spaced apart on the injector face and operable to provide a predetermined spray pattern. The injector also includes an air conduit having an air inlet on the other end of the injector nozzle extending through the injector housing and opening into a plurality of air conduit outlets proximate the injector face, each air conduit outlet extending to and opening into a respective fluid conduit outlet.
