Some memory systems may be configured to initiate an operation to characterize a plurality of blocks of a memory system; identify a first quantity of complete blocks of the plurality of blocks and a second quantity of reduced blocks of the plurality of blocks based at least in part on initiating the operation; determine, for a block of the second quantity of reduced blocks, whether a quantity of planes available for use to store the information in the block satisfies a threshold; and assign the block as a special function block configured to store data associated with a function of the memory system based at least in part on determining that the quantity of planes available for use to store the information in the block of the second quantity of reduced blocks satisfies the threshold.

A first erase verify sub-operation of the erase operation is caused to be performed to verify the first memory block is erased and a second erase verify sub-operation of the erase operation is caused to be performed to verify the second memory block is erased.

One embodiment of the storage system includes an origination device that is configured to receive a request for a logical block addressing-based operation on a volume, convert the logical block addressing-based operation request into a key addressing-based operation request carrying a key corresponding to data to be operated, and send the key addressing-based operation request to a routing library; the routing library is configured to receive the key addressing-based operation request, hash the key corresponding to the data to be operated, determine that a storage node taking charge of a hash region in which the hashed key is located is the master storage node, send the key addressing-based operation request to the master storage node of the data to be operated.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a data prefetching method, a node, and a system. The method includes: a first storage node receives a read request sent by a client, determines a to-be-prefetched data block and a second storage node where the to-be-prefetched data block resides according to a read data block and a set to-be-prefetched data block threshold, and sends a prefetching request to the second storage node, the prefetching request includes identification information of the to-be-prefetched data block, and the identification information is used to identify the to-be-prefetched data block; and the second storage node reads the to-be-prefetched data block from a disk according to the prefetching request, and stores the to-be-prefetched data block in a local buffer, so that the client reads the to-be-prefetched data block from the local buffer of the second storage node.
