  • Publication number: 20140376256
Abstract: A light source module includes a light guide plate, at least one light emitting element, a circuit board, and a heat conductive structure. The light guide plate has a light incident surface and a bottom surface adjacent to each other. The light emitting element is disposed beside the light incident surface. The circuit board has a bottom and a sidewall. The bottom extends toward the light guide plate from an end of the sidewall. The sidewall has a first surface facing the light incident surface, and the bottom has a second surface facing the bottom surface. The light emitting element is disposed on the first surface. The heat conductive structure is disposed on the circuit board contacted the first surface and the second surface of the circuit board, for transmitting heat generated by the light emitting element and the circuit board.

  • Patent number: 7522802
Abstract: An optical multilayer film includes first and second optical layers, and a refracting layer. The first optical layer has a light-exit surface. The second optical layer has a light-incoming surface facing the light-exit surface of the first optical layer, and a light-outgoing surface opposite to the light-incoming surface and formed with a light-converging structure. The refracting layer is disposed between and is in contact with the first and second optical layers, is made from a transparent material, and has a refractive index that is smaller than that of the second optical layer.

  • Patent number: 7448788
Abstract: A backlight module includes a light guide plate and a light source. The light guide plate includes a first end portion, a second end portion, a middle portion between the first and second end portions, a top face extending from the first end portion to the second end portion, a bottom face extending from the first end portion to the second end portion, a light entrance face interconnecting the top and bottom faces at the first end portion, and a plurality of prismatic strips formed on the bottom face. The prismatic strips have a lower density at the first end portion as compared to the middle portion. The density is defined as a total length of the prismatic strips per unit area of the bottom face. The light source is disposed adjacent to the light entrance face.

  • Publication number: 20080247190
Abstract: A high brightness diffusion plate for homogenizing light beams provided by at least one light source of a backlight module to a display panel is provided, which includes a diffusion layer, a transmittance layer, and a plurality of connecters. The transmittance layer is disposed above the diffusion layer, and the connecters are connected between the diffusion layer and the transmittance layer. Since the high brightness diffusion plate of the present invention is an integrated structure and is stronger, the present invention is not only easier for being assembled inside the backlight module, but also makes the light source provided by the backlight module being more homogeneous.

  • Publication number: 20060109674
Abstract: The present invention relates to a backlight module, wherein by disposing buffer elements in the edges and/or below the plate lamp, the plate lamp of the backlight module can avoid the damage resulting from an external force. In addition to a vibration-resistant effect, the buffer elements disposed below the bottom of the plate lamp can further maintain a uniform spacing between the plate lamp and the rear frame so that the light-emitting efficiency, brightness uniformity, and operation can be maintained.
