  • Publication number: 20240072145
Abstract: Gate-all-around integrated circuit structures having pre-spacer-deposition cut gates are described. For example, an integrated circuit structure includes a first vertical arrangement of horizontal nanowires and a second vertical arrangement of horizontal nanowires. A first gate stack is over the first vertical arrangement of horizontal nanowires, and a second gate stack is over the second vertical arrangement of horizontal nanowires. An end of the second gate stack is spaced apart from an end of the first gate stack by a gap. The integrated circuit structure also includes a dielectric structure having a first portion providing a gate spacer along sidewalls of the first gate stack, a second portion providing a gate spacer along sidewalls of the second gate stack, and a third portion filling the gap, the third portion contiguous with the first and second portions.

  • Publication number: 20160216058
Abstract: In certain arrangements, a balancing yoke is used in a hybrid cam arrangement of an archery bow, in which two cables are paid out from respective tracks or taken up in respective tracks on a cam when the bow is drawn. Aspects of the present disclosure incorporate a balancing yoke which has two leg portions which are symmetrically paid out or taken up in tracks on opposite sides of the cam's central rotational plane and wherein the force applied by a cable is divided and applied by the yoke legs to the cam on opposite sides of the cam's central rotational plane.

  • Patent number: 6804607
Abstract: A collision avoidance sense and avoid capability for an aircraft or other vehicle that monitors a sphere or other safety zone/cocoon about the vehicle. A light-detecting camera or other sensor receives a signal return if any object enters the safety cocoon. Once an object is detected in the cocoon, a signal is sent to the onboard sense and avoid computer and corrective action is taken. The system is capable of autonomous operation, and is self-contained and does not require additional hardware installations on target vehicles. The size and shape of the safety cocoon monitored by the sensors adjusts according to the speed and motion vectors of the aircraft or other vehicle, so as to maximize efficient use of sensor capabilities and minimize the size, cost and power requirements of the system.

  • Patent number: 5517728
Abstract: A cable tie comprises a head and a strap of plastic material. The head has a transverse aperture formed therethrough and contains a separately formed barb. The barb has a head engaging portion and a strap engaging portion extending at least partly across the head aperture. The barb includes a flexure region comprising a pair of opposed cut-out portions each located in a edge of the barb to provide a section of reduced width between the cut-out portions. Each cut-out portion provides a shoulder at the side thereof such that after insertion of the barb into the head the plastic material of the head flows over the shoulders of the cut-out portions to anchor the barb in the head.

  • Patent number: 5486454
Abstract: Nucleic acid probes that detect Salmonella human pathogens are generated from the nucleotide sequences of a gene encoding a virulence factor involved in the pathogenesis of Salmonella, especially the Type 1 fimbriae protein. Preferred probe lengths are about 20 to about 100 nucleotide bases. The probes are highly specific and sensitive for detecting Salmonella organisms pathogenic to humans and are thus clinically useful in the detection of infection in diarrhea specimens. They also may be used in the detection of food-borne Salmonella, the causative agent of most salmonellosis in humans.
