Abstract: A hydraulic control valve assembly for use in an excavating vehicle to control the hydraulic motors which control the slew movement, boom, dipper and excavating bucket of the vehicle.The assembly comprises two pairs of valves mounted in a base structure, each pair of valves being controlled by an operating lever mounted on a bracket. The bracket is connected to the base structure by a bolt and a universal joint and to the valve spools by links, the connections between the links and the bracket comprising universal joints.The operating lever is moved in one direction to operate one of the valve spools and in another direction to operate the other valve spool. By slackening the bolt and rotating the bracket, the directions in which the operating lever is moved to operate the valve spools is also rotated.
