    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a latch assembly for a container. The latch assembly includes a mounting member coupled to the container. The container includes a lid operable between an open position and a closed position. A locking member is pivotally mounted to the mounting member. The locking member is operable between a locking position and an unlocking position, corresponding to inclination of the container. In locking position, the locking member engages a panel of the container for locking the lid in the closed position, when the container is in a first inclined position. In unlocking position, the locking member disengages from the panel for unlocking the lid to the open position, when the container is in a second inclined position. The latch assembly controls operation of lid between the open position and the closed position, corresponding to inclination of the container.
