Abstract: A cranial protection system for a terrestrial animal such as a service dog is disclosed. The cranial protection system comprises a helmet that is secured to the head over ears of the animal and a first ear protector and a second ear protector, wherein each one of the first ear protector and the second ear protector may be separately and securely affixed by an animal handler to the helmet to cover the ears of the animal after the helmet has been secured over the head of the animal.
