  • Publication number: 20040143900
Abstract: A faucet mounting system includes a trim member to which a faucet hub is attached. The system includes a pair of screws that attach the trim member to a foot member. The foot member is slid into a faucet opening in the deck. From the top of the deck, the screws are used to clamp the deck between the trim member and the foot member. The trim member defines a receptacle with alignment tabs that are used to position the faucet hub in the receptacle. The faucet hub has a mounting shank to which a mounting bracket is attached in order to secure the faucet hub to the deck from the underside of the deck.

  • Patent number: 5062711
Abstract: The apparatus and method disclosed rely on the observation of a strip of a rotatable circular can end to be lined with gasketing composition, and the scanning head further includes a proximity detector responsive to the positioning of the can end adjacent the scanning head and connected to trigger initiation of a "scanning window" when a can end arrives concentrically in the lining chuck at the lining station, and to discontinue the "scanning window" when the can end and chuck begin to descend on departure of the can end for onward transport. The scanning operation is totally independent of time and therefore of the adjustable speed of operation of the can end lining machine.

  • Patent number: 4445363
Abstract: An inspection device detects flooding in a hollow structural member such as the leg of an oil or gas rig so as to detect the presence of through wall cracks in the member. The device comprises an ultrasonic transducer for transmitting a pulsed beam of ultrasonic sound to pass through opposing faced walls or wall portions of the member and a visual indicator responsive to time spaced echoes of the ultrasonic beam reflected respectively from the opposing walls or wall portions and received by the transducer to indicate the presence or absence of flooding in the member. The transducer is located in the bridge plate of a jig and its beam passes through an aperture in a support frame of the jig. The support frame has a pair of spaced magnetic feet attached to a bracket on the frame and a further magnetic foot secured to the frame, the feet permitting the jig to be clamped onto a steel rig member so that the transducer can be optimally aligned with the member to optimize received echoes.

  • Patent number: 4370961
Abstract: A motor vehicle with power take-off apparatus is equipped with an arrangement for automatically controlling the rate of supply of fuel to an internal combustion engine which drives the power take-off output shaft. This arrangement has a sensor which produces pulses at a repetition speed proportional to the speed of rotation of the power take-off output shaft, and circuitry which provides an output signal at one binary level if the sensed speed of rotation rises higher than a first reference speed on increasing from zero, and at the other binary level if the sensed speed of rotation falls below a second, lower reference speed on decreasing from above the first reference rate. This binary signal is used to control the state, energized or de-energized, of a solenoid which in turn controls, directly or indirectly, a mechanical device which acts on the flow of fuel to the engine. The road speed of the vehicle can be limited automatically in the same way.

  • Patent number: 4316395
Abstract: Control apparatus for a drive transmission such as the hydraulic drive transmission of a fork lift truck is provided in which an electrical signal is developed having a frequency representative of the rate of rotation of the drive shaft of the transmission. A first switching circuit is controlled in response to the said signal so as to remain in one state thereof during each cycle of the said signal when the duration of the cycle is less than a predetermined duration, and to be settable in another state thereof by actuation of a manually operable direction switch, serving as a forward-reverse drive selector lever, when the duration of the said cycle is greater than the said predetermined duration.
