Patent number: 10875157Abstract: A solid surface clamp that has a top jaw and a bottom jaw, along with alignment structures, is disclosed. The clamp includes a top jaw, a bottom jaw, a bolt attached to the bottom jaw and slideably received through the top jaw, and a nut. The bolt has an alignment cutout, a threaded portion extending from the top jaw and defines a bolt longitudinal axis. The nut is threaded onto the threaded portion of the bolt and transitions the clamp from an open position to a clamping position. The top jaw further includes an alignment hole that contacts the alignment cutout and maintains the top jaw and the bottom jaw substantially fixed relative to each other about the bolt longitudinal axis. The alignment cutout moves relative to the alignment shaft in the direction of the bolt longitudinal axis when the clamp transitions from an open position to a clamping position.Type: GrantFiled: November 16, 2018Date of Patent: December 29, 2020Assignee: OMNI CUBED, INC.Inventors: Larry Leigh Livingston, Jr., Derek Carlton Westlund

Patent number: 10619630Abstract: A multi-port thumb pump cylinder is disclosed. The cylinder includes a body with a body central bore with a body bore longitudinal axis running along a portion of the length of the body and defining a proximal and distal end. The body central bore receives a thumb pump piston assembly through the proximal end. The body has a vacuum manifold connected to the distal end of the body central bore. The manifold includes a suction cup vacuum port and at least one vacuum port with a molded nipple, or a connection structure to allow fittings to be attached thereto. Also disclosed is a thumb pump using the cylinder and a thumb pump system with multiple thumb pumps utilizing the cylinder.Type: GrantFiled: January 3, 2017Date of Patent: April 14, 2020Assignee: SPARROW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT, INC.Inventors: Larry Leigh Livingston, Jr., Derek Carlton Westlund

Patent number: 9651084Abstract: A suction cup apparatus is disclosed that includes a suction cup and a suction cup cover. The suction cup has an outer sealing edge and can be placed under vacuum. The cover has a solid suction cup cover surface and a suction cup cover wall extending away from this surface. The suction cup cover wall is constructed to circumscribe the outer sealing edge, and the suction cup cover wall and solid suction cup cover surface are constructed to elastically deform under a pulling force. The suction cup cover is further constructed to fit around the sealing edge when subjected to the pulling force and to form an airtight seal between the suction cup and suction cup cover when the pulling force is withdrawn.Type: GrantFiled: December 11, 2016Date of Patent: May 16, 2017Assignee: SPARROW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT, INC.Inventors: Larry Leigh Livingston, Jr., Derek Carlton Westlund

Patent number: 8047516Abstract: A solid surface clamp is provided. The solid surface clamp has a top jaw and a bottom jaw. A connecting rod is attached to one of the jaws, and slideably extends through the other jaw. Alignment surfaces may be incorporated into the jaws to assist in accurately positioning the material to be laminated. A compression device is connected to the portion of the connecting rod that extends through the jaw. A shroud shields the compression device, thereby protecting the compression device from contamination by the laminating adhesive. An elongated stiffening member may be used to apply the clamping force over a longer surface, allowing for greater spacing between clamps and extended regions of even clamping pressure.Type: GrantFiled: June 25, 2008Date of Patent: November 1, 2011Assignee: Omni Cubed, Inc.Inventors: Larry Leigh Livingston, Jr., Derek Carlton Westlund
