Abstract: Orders relating to a sale or purchase of securities are staged into an execution management system that includes a processor programmed to perform securities trading activities. Data describing the orders is stored in a database, which includes a neutral account. After the orders are staged into the execution management system, one or more of the orders, or portions thereof, are associated with one or more brokers for execution.

Abstract: In one aspect, the invention comprises software comprising: (a) software for displaying a chart display comprising pricing information for securities; and (b) software for displaying an interface display for placing securities orders, wherein the chart display is configured to enable a user to enter price information in the interface display by selecting a location on the chart display corresponding to a price to be entered into the interface display. In another aspect, the invention comprises a method comprising entering price information in an interface display for placing securities orders by selecting a location on a chart display comprising pricing information for securities, the location corresponding to a price to be entered into the interface display.

Abstract: In one aspect, the invention comprises a method comprising: (a) receiving a securities trading order comprising core parameters and strategy parameters in a first format; (b) translating said order into a form wherein said core parameters and said strategy parameters are separated into distinct groups of parameters; (c) processing said core parameters; and (d) transmitting said translated order to said order management system. In another aspect, the invention comprises a computer system comprising: (a) an order component operable to receive a securities trading order comprising core parameters and strategy parameters in a first format; (b) a translation component operable to translate said order into a form wherein said core parameters and said strategy parameters are separated into distinct groups of parameters; (c) a processing component operable to process said core parameters; and (d) a transmission component operable to transmit said translated order to said order management system.
