Abstract: An apparatus (10) for washing vehicles, boats, caravans or the like includes a telescopic handle (12) through which liquid is transferred to a brush-head (16) with bristles (19). Liquid, preferably water, is ejected through an opening (18) in the form of an aperture (20) located in a bristle free zone (21) resulting in a jet of water substantially parallel to the apparatus handle. The aperture is smaller in diameter than that handle, resulting in increased pressure. The handle is connected to a hose (14) which in turn is connected to a water source such as a tap.
