The slide cover plate includes a capillary plane, a depth locating surface, a width locating block, a bottom locating block, a reservoir side surface, a reservoir opening surface and a guiding opening. There's a capillary gap at the middle of a slide assembly formed by fitting the slide cover plate with the slide. During loading, a reagent fills the gap via the capillary siphoning effect, and no matter in which way the slide assembly is placed (placed upright or inclined), the reagent in the gap will not be drained off. When a new reagent is added, the new reagent enters the gap from a reagent loading reservoir, the former reagent existing in the gap flows out from the guiding opening at the bottom of the slide assembly and is replaced by the new reagent automatically.
