    Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a fishing head and a steel boot of a downhole receiver tool. In certain embodiments, the fishing head may include multiple body portions that include a channel to hold a cable of a downhole tool and a recess that is formed at the interface of the body portions. The body portions may be coupled via one or more pins that are fitted into the recess. In certain embodiments, a collar may be positioned on an exterior portion of the body portions of the fishing head to further secure the components. In certain embodiments, the collar may be coupled to the body portions of the fishing head via a biasing member such as a spring pin or other suitable coupling components.
