  • Publication number: 20220370665
Abstract: The present disclosure provides decontamination system that includes a decontamination chamber for sealably holding one or more items for decontamination. The system also includes a decontamination unit comprising: a controllable air heater and humidity control unit to controllably heat an ambient air source and to control a temperature and humidity of air within a decontamination chamber; a controllable vaporizer unit to controllably vaporize one or more decontamination agents by combining the controllably heated ambient air with the one or more decontamination agents; and controller circuitry to control a controllable air heater and humidity control unit to heat the ambient air to a selected level, and to maintain a selected heat and humidity within the decontamination chamber, and to control the controllable vaporizer unit to provide a selected flow rate of the one or more decontamination agents into the decontamination chamber.

  • Patent number: 11313846
Abstract: Exemplary inventive practice replicatively tests the effects of cleaning processes applied to marine hulls coated with biofouling-control substances. A sample (e.g., antifouling-coated panel) is coupled with a trolley that is linearly moveable via trolley wheels upon two parallel tracks provided along the length of an open rectangular box-shaped tank, partially filled with natural or artificial seawater. The cleaning element (e.g., brush bristles) points vertically upward in a stationary position atop a motorized cleaning unit installed proximate the bottom of the tank. In accordance with the trolley's horizontal movement, and while the sample and cleaning element are immersed in seawater, the sample traverses the cleaning element in a contactual manner that mimics underwater cleaning dynamics for a hull surface.

  • Publication number: 20210346552
Abstract: A system for decontamination of patient care equipment and a system for decontamination of an interior space. In some embodiments, a decontaminant distributor is provided in an enclosure and coupled to a decontaminant generator system. The decontaminant generator system may include a decontaminant generator removably coupled to the decontaminant distributor at an exterior of the enclosure for allowing the decontaminant generator to be removed and connected to another decontaminant distributor associated with another system for decontamination of patient care equipment. An air agitation system may be provided in the enclosure for agitating air and decontaminant in the enclosure. In some embodiments, a portable system may be transported to an interior space for decontaminating the items in the space using hot-air decontamination.

  • Publication number: 20120176616
Abstract: A fluid submersible sensing device is provided comprising a fluid-tight housing defining an internal chamber and including window structure; sensing structure provided in the internal chamber; light providing apparatus in the internal chamber emitting light capable of passing through the window structure so as to exit the housing; and a sample-providing structure coupled to the housing and located outside of the housing internal chamber comprising a passage through which a fluid flows. The passage may have a longitudinal axis substantially parallel with a flow path through the passage and a cross sectional area substantially transverse to the longitudinal axis. The light from the housing exits the housing, passes through the sample-providing structure including the passage and re-enters the housing toward the sensing structure.
