  • Patent number: 7401880
Abstract: A system and method of determining paper system position and velocity are provided. The method includes receiving a first data triplet at a first time. The first data triplet includes data related to a first coarse digital position, a first channel X analog voltage and a first channel Y analog voltage. The method also includes storing the first time and the first data triplet. The method further includes receiving a second data triplet at a second time. The second data triplet includes data related to a second digital position, a second X analog voltage and a second Y analog voltage. The method also includes evaluating a control loop associated with controlling paper position and velocity. Evaluating the control loop includes determining a velocity of the paper based on the first data triplet, the second data triplet, the first time and the second time.

  • Patent number: 7309117
Abstract: A printing system comprising a set of nozzles for applying a color component, wherein each of the nozzles in the set is configured to apply a different effective color intensity; and a raster associated with the set of nozzles, the raster comprising a plurality of cells wherein each cell in the plurality of cells comprises at least one element which represents the effective color intensity to be applied to an area by the set of nozzles, wherein the number of elements in a cell is less than the range of different effective color intensities.

  • Publication number: 20070188814
Abstract: A processor is provided that includes a primary memory of a processor and color conversion logic. The primary memory is to store a first color look-up table (LUT) related to a second color space. The color conversion logic is responsive to a received set of pixels, where each pixel of the set of pixels includes a color value in a first color space. The color conversion logic includes decision logic to selectively access the first color LUT and a second color LUT of a secondary memory to obtain a color value of the second color space that is associated with each pixel of the set of pixels based on a comparison of each pixel to at least one neighboring pixel.

  • Patent number: 6459433
Abstract: A method and apparatus for compression of a two dimensional video object such that the video object may subsequently be displayed as a three dimensional object is generally accomplished by a set-up engine which receives vertex parameters and generates a plurality of derivatives and Bresenham parameters, therefrom. The derivatives and Bresenham parameters are provided to an edgewalker circuit which produces, therefrom, a plurality of spans which, in turn, is converted in to a set of texel addresses by a texel address generator. A texel fetch circuit receives the set of texel addresses and uses the addresses to retrieve a set of texels, which is subsequently processed by a texel processor to produce a filtered pixel. To retrieve the set of texels, the texel fetch circuit retrieves a set of indexes based on the texel addresses and uses the set of texels to retrieve the set of texels from a codebook.
