  • Publication number: 20250042573
Abstract: A vehicle includes an internal cabin having a main deck cargo compartment, and a barrier system within the internal cabin. The barrier system includes one or more flexible drapes moveable between an open position and a closed position. The barrier system is configured to selectively open and close the main deck cargo compartment from one more other areas of the internal cabin, and/or selectively open and close the main deck cargo compartment into separate areas.

  • Publication number: 20210370111
Abstract: Described herein are zonal fire suppression systems and methods of using such systems for suppressing fires in cargo aircraft. A system is configured to individually monitor the temperature in each of multiple cargo zones in the cargo area. The system is also configured to selectively activate one or more of multiple zone distribution components to distribute a fire suppressant material, based at least on the temperature monitoring. The zonal approach to the temperature monitoring and to the fire suppressant material distribution allows reducing the fire suppressant material amount needed on the cargo aircraft, which, in turn, reduces the aircraft load. Furthermore, in some examples, the zonal approach eliminates unnecessary contact between the cargo (e.g., in the zones unaffected by fire) and the fire suppressant material. In some examples, this fire suppression involves depressurizing of the cargo area, in addition to or instead of the fire suppressant material distribution material.

  • Patent number: 10016088
Abstract: A cold coffee brewing device is disclosed. A filter basket is provided that can rest at two positions, a first brewing position and a second draining position, the draining position being located above the liquid being brewed to allow the filter basket to drain without further support. The filter basket rests on a first width in the brewing position and on a second width in the draining position. The first and second width can either be formed in to a container for brewing or an adaptor can be provided to create the first and second width on the container. The filter basket has sections that are adapted to rest on the first and second width respectively.

  • Publication number: 20070131315
Abstract: A copper alloy having an improved combination of yield strength and electrical conductivity consists essentially of, by weight, from 1% to 2.5% of nickel, from 0.5% to 2.0% of cobalt, with a total nickel plus cobalt content of from 1.7% to 4.3%, from 0.5% to 1.5% of silicon with a ratio of (Ni+Co)/Si of between 3.5 and 6, and the balance copper and inevitable impurities wherein the wrought copper alloy has an electrical conductivity in excess of 40% IACS. A further increase in the combination of yield strength and electrical conductivity as well as enhanced resistance to stress relaxation is obtained by a further inclusion of up 1% of silver. A process to manufacture the alloys of the invention as well as other copper-nickel-silicon alloys includes the sequential steps of (a). casting the copper alloy; (b). hot working the cast copper-base alloy to effect a first reduction in cross-sectional area; (c).

  • Publication number: 20050025990
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a coated substrate, comprising: an antitarnish layer deposited on a substrate in an amount effective to prevent tarnishing of said coated substrate; and an outer layer deposited onto said antitarnish layer, said outer layer comprising tin or tin alloys having at least 50% by weight tin. The present invention is also directed to coated substrates having a concentration gradient of antitarnish agent diffused into the coating, as well as methods of forming such coated substrates.
