The authentication system includes a client computer, a backend server, and a service principal name (SPN) apparatus. The client computer sends an authentication request to the backend server. The backend server performs an authentication procedure in response to a reception of the authentication request from the client computer. The SPN apparatus configures a plurality of service SPNs for the web service application over the common network port.
