  • Publication number: 20220211139
Abstract: A heated boot cover is disclosed. The heated boot cover comprises a layered material formed into an upper which is attached to a sole. The heated boot cover contains a layer of woven material having an electrically conductive yarn threaded throughout. The heating layer is disposed between a layer of fabric in the internal space of the boot cover and a thermal insulating layer. The outermost layer of material is a water resistant material. The boot cover has a fastener, such as a zipper, which has electrical connections so that the heating element of the boot cover can only be activated when the fastener is secured. The boot cover may have a transceiver which allows the operations of the boot cover to be controlled by a smart phone or other computerized device.

  • Patent number: 10738852
Abstract: A bearing assembly is for movably coupling first and second members and includes first and second laminated bodies disposed within the second member bore, spaced about a centerline and connected with the first member. The first laminated is formed of alternating, arcuate first elastomeric laminae and arcuate first rigid laminae nested generally about a first central axis, each first rigid lamina having a first radial thickness between inner and outer surfaces. The second laminated body is formed of alternating, arcuate second elastomeric laminae and arcuate second rigid laminae nested generally about a second central axis, each second rigid lamina having a second radial thickness between the rigid lamina inner and outer surfaces. The first radial thickness of the first rigid laminae is substantially greater than the second radial thickness of the second rigid laminae such that the second laminated body has a substantially lesser stiffness than the first laminated body.

  • Patent number: 9805630
Abstract: An electronic device may have a display with backlight structures. The backlight structures may produce backlight that passes through the display layers in the display. The backlight structures may include a light guide plate that distributes light across the display layers. A light source such as a light-emitting diode light source may be used to provide light to the light guide plate. The light source may overlap an edge portion of the light guide plate. A light guide structure having a bend may be coupled between the light source and the light guide plate. The light guide structure may be used to guide the light from the light source to the light guide plate via total internal reflection. • Patent number: 9223349
Abstract: An electronic device may have polarizer layers, color filter layers, thin-film-transistor layers, and other display layers. A display layer may be separated from structures such as a display cover layer formed from clear glass or plastic and a touch sensor layer mounted on an inner surface of the display cover layer by an air gap. Cavities within an electronic device housing may serve as a source of dust and other contaminants. The air gap may be sealed against dust intrusion from a cavity within an electronic device using a dust sealing structure. The dust sealing structure may have a rectangular ring shape that runs around a rectangular peripheral portion of a display layer. The dust sealing structure may be formed from a tape-based structure, an elastomeric structure, a compressible foam structure, or a cured liquid structure.
