    Abstract: A collet assembly with a universal collet is provided. One collet assembly of a welding torch includes a collet having an outer diameter and an inner diameter. The inner diameter of the collet is configured to contact a welding electrode disposed through the collet. The welding torch also includes a spacer configured to be disposed in a welding torch head and to compress the collet against the welding electrode to secure the welding electrode in the torch.
