  • Publication number: 20250375400
Abstract: Methods of reducing skin fibrosis by prophylactically treating skin prior to radiation therapy arc described herein. The methods include applying an effective amount of DFO to skin that may be subjected to radiation, e.g., before treatment for cancer at a treatment site. The DFO may be administered transdermally.

  • Publication number: 20250195474
Abstract: Methods of promoting healing of a wound in a dermal location of a subject are provided. Aspects of the methods may include administering an effective amount of a Piezo inhibitor composition to the wound to promote healing of the wound, e.g., by reducing transition of adipocytes to fibroblasts in the wound. Also provided are methods of preventing or reversing scarring during healing of a wound in a subject. Aspects of the methods may include forming a wound in a dermal location of a subject and administering an effective amount of a Piezo inhibitor composition to the wound to promote regenerative healing or regenerative remodeling of the wound. Also provided are methods of ameliorating, e.g., reducing or inhibiting, organ fibrosis, e.g., liver fibrosis, heart fibrosis, inflammatory bowel fibrosis, muscle fibrosis, kidney fibrosis, etc., in a subject by administering to the subject an effective amount of a Piezo inhibitor composition. Also provided are kits including an amount of a Piezo inhibitor composition.

  • Patent number: 11331288
Abstract: Methods of increasing perfusion and vascularity in irradiated tissue and of increasing retention of fat cells in a fat graft in irradiated tissue by applying an effective amount of DFO to the irradiated tissue at a treatment site. The DFO may be administered transdermally by applying a transdermal delivery device to a tissue surface at the treatment site in multiple discrete doses. The transdermal delivery system comprises DFO encapsulated in reverse micelles.

  • Patent number: 11180536
Abstract: Antibodies specific for royalactin (RA) can be used in methods for purifying royalactin, including native royalactin. These methods produce can produce compositions enriched for native royalactin. The purified royalactin can be used to produce cosmetic products that include native royalactin. An isolated nucleic acid encodes a monoclonal antibody that binds specifically to royalactin.
