  • Publication number: 20240114357
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a wireless communication device (WCD) may communicate, via a wireless link, with an audio device using a first configuration having first values for communication parameters. The WCD may transmit an indication to switch to a second configuration based at least in part on a configuration switch trigger, the configuration switch trigger being based at least in part on one or more of a link quality metric associated with the wireless link or a change of a use state of the WCD, and the second configuration having second values for the communication parameters associated with a reduction in voltage-induced interference in an audio output of the audio device. Numerous other aspects are described.

  • Patent number: 11833557
Abstract: A device cleaning system cycles a fluid by a clogged or non-functioning device to remove the substances that are built-up on it. The fluid could be heated to facilitate removal and it is considered of importance to use a fluid that is safe environmentally. A clean and functioning verification device is run in the system to compare readings from the non-functioning device. The system is intended to run until the provide similar readings.

  • Patent number: 11535178
Abstract: The vehicle dash-mounted hand sanitizer dispenser is configured for use with a vehicle. The vehicle is further defined with a passenger compartment and a vent. The vehicle dash-mounted hand sanitizer dispenser mounts on the vent. The vehicle dash-mounted hand sanitizer dispenser is configured for use with a hand sanitizer. The vehicle dash-mounted hand sanitizer dispenser stores and dispenses the hand sanitizer. The vehicle dash-mounted hand sanitizer dispenser comprises a reservoir structure and a control circuit. The reservoir structure forms the fluidic connection necessary to: a) contain the hand sanitizer; and, b) discharge the hand sanitizer into the passenger compartment. The control circuit is an electric circuit. The control circuit provides the motive forces necessary to pump the hand sanitizer into the passenger compartment. The control circuit initiates the operation by detecting motion near the discharge point of the hand sanitizer.

  • Patent number: 10551284
Abstract: An apparatus includes a sampling probe having a first portion and a second portion. The first portion is configured to penetrate inside a wall of a duct having an inner chamber that is configured to carry a gas stream containing particulate matter therethrough. The first portion is further configured to divert a sample of the gas stream from the inner chamber of the duet to the second portion that extends from the wall of the duct opposite the inner chamber. The second portion of the sampling probe is configured to direct the sample of the gas stream in a first direction with a second direction corresponding to a direction of the gravitational force of the earth. A first ray corresponding to the first direction forms an angle ? with a second ray corresponding to the second direction. The angle ? is less than 90 degrees.

  • Patent number: 9900395
Abstract: The disclosure herein concerns a method of estimating Internet traffic including taking a size of a target population based on at least one of census data and third party data, identifying a percentage of the target population that displays an online behavior, receiving clickstream data at a host processing facility from a clickstream panel that connotes Internet activity of individual members of the clickstream panel, identifying a fraction of participants within the clickstream panel that exhibit the online behavior, and producing, at the host processing facility, an estimate of the target population's Internet activity by first scaling the clickstream data for the participants in the clickstream panel exhibiting the online behavior so that it matches the percentage in the target population and then scaling the data for all members of the clickstream panel by the relative size of the target population.

  • Patent number: 9442058
Abstract: A method validating a particulate monitoring device includes generating a final gas stream having a particulate material concentration that corresponds to a target particulate material concentration, using the particulate monitoring device to measure the particulate material concentration in the final gas stream, and evaluating an accuracy of the particulate monitoring device based on a comparison of the particulate concentration in the final gas stream that was measured by the particulate monitoring device with the target particulate material concentration.

  • Patent number: 5994116
Abstract: This invention is directed toward a new type of herpesvirus particle (e.g., HSV-1), herein designated pre-viral DNA replication enveloped particles (PREPS), and methods of preparing said particles. These particles are non-infectious and can be prepared reliably to a high ratio of HSV-1 PREPS to infectious virus of at least 10.sup.7 :1. PREPS can be produced under conditions wherein viral DNA replication is blocked through the use of suitable drugs (e.g., acyclovir [ACV]; cytosine-.beta.-D-arabinofuranoside [ara C]) or by using an HSV mutant defective in viral DNA synthesis.
