Abstract: The invention herein provides a composite material suitable for the absorption of moisture in natural outside areas. More particularly, the composite material can be applied to both grassy and non-grassy natural areas to both absorb any excessive, apparent moisture therein and to also enrich the underlying earth of both grassy and non-grassy natural areas.

Abstract: A mount for receiving and retaining at least one ramp. The mount includes a first side and a second side. The first side includes a body portion, at least one engagement finger extending in a first direction and at least one engagement finger extending in a second direction. The second side includes a body portion, at least one engagement finger extending in the first direction and at least one engagement finger extending in a second direction. At least one spacer member can be coupled to the body portion of the first and second sides so as to provide at least some spacing between the first side and the second side. The mount can be attached to a wheeled vehicle for removable attachment of one or more ramps thereto. The wheeled vehicle can be a lawn mower.

Abstract: An apparatus for sampling air in an aircraft cabin comprises: a sensor 2 for detecting air contaminants, a processor 4, a data logger 6, means 8 for detecting when the apparatus is airborne, a control unit 10, a manual trigger 12, at least one adsorbent tube 18, valves 14, 16 or other means for isolating the adsorbent tube from contamination and a pump 20 for drawing air through the adsorbent tube. An alternative apparatus uses a Tedlar® bag. Methods of sampling air and uses of the apparatus are also disclosed.

Abstract: A technique for speculatively issuing instructions using an out-of-order processor. A cache miss by a load instruction results in either a reissue of all subsequently issued instructions for an integer instruction stream, or a reissue of only truly dependent instructions for a floating point instruction stream. One version of the technique involves issuing and executing a first instruction, and issuing a second instruction during a speculative time window of the first instruction that occurs after the first instruction is issued. The technique further involves executing the issued second instruction when the first instruction is executed in a first manner, and reissuing the second instruction and executing the reissued second instruction when the first instruction is executed in a second manner that is different than the first manner.

Abstract: Box closing apparatus applies equal pressure around the joint between upper and lower portions of a box so that the portions are sealingly interconnected around the entire joint between the portions. The apparatus has upper and lower press plates between which the box is received. In addition, a tape dispenser is provided for application of tape to the joint after the upper and lower box portions are engaged. Rotation of the press plates is permitted to facilitate application of the tape to the box joint.
