  • Publication number: 20230167832
Abstract: The invention relates to an exhaust gas turbocharger with a silencer. The silencer comprises a multiplicity of damping elements which are arranged concentrically about a central axis of the silencer and are spaced apart concentrically from one another, with the result that a flow duct is formed in each case between adjacent damping elements. The flow duct has an inlet which is at a greater radial spacing from the central axis than an outlet of the flow duct.

  • Publication number: 20070140846
Abstract: The cleaning device for the exhaust gas turbine comprises openings, which open out into the flow duct upstream of the nozzle ring, for injecting a cleaning liquid from the radially inner side into the annular flow duct, a cavity, which is connected to the openings, for distributing the cleaning liquid to the openings, and a supply line for supplying the cleaning liquid to the cavity. The cleaning device according to the invention provides a uniform distribution of water to nozzle ring or to the rotor blades of the turbine rotor wheel.

  • Patent number: 6824355
Abstract: The guide-vane system serves to change the position of the guide vanes of an axial-flow exhaust-gas turbine of a turbocharger. The guide vanes are arranged axially symmetrically to the turbine axis in a flow passage carrying exhaust gas and can be pivoted by a pivoting device in each case about a radially directed axis. A vane shank led radially outward from the flow passage through a casing wall is attached to each of the guide vanes. With its part directed outward, the vane shank is mounted so as to be rotatable about the pivot axis. The pivoting device contains an adjusting ring, arranged outside the flow passage and rotatable about the turbine axis, and also an adjusting lever which transmits a torque from the adjusting ring to the vane shank of each guide vane. The adjusting ring is mounted with its outside on rolling elements which are each designed as one-armed levers and are mounted so as to be pivotable on a component of a casing wall, this component being designed as a supporting ring.

  • Publication number: 20030049120
Abstract: The guide-vane system (5) serves to change the position of the guide vanes (6) of an axial-flow exhaust-gas turbine of a turbocharger. The guide vanes (6) are arranged axially symmetrically to the turbine axis (1) in a flow passage (14) carrying exhaust gas (15) and can be pivoted by a pivoting device in each case about a radially directed axis (8). A vane shank (18) led radially outward from the flow passage (14) through a casing wall is attached to each of the guide vanes (6). With its part directed outward, the vane shank (18) is mounted so as to be rotatable about the pivot axis (8). The pivoting device contains an adjusting ring (19), arranged outside the flow passage (14) and rotatable about the turbine axis (1), and also an adjusting lever (20) which transmits a torque from the adjusting ring (19) to the vane shank (18) of each guide vane (6).

  • Patent number: 5784299
Abstract: For measuring electronic devices under test with a network analyzer, the electronic devices to be embedded into a linear auxiliary network during their operation, as well as, during the measurement. First, system error correction data is determined for the network analyzer according to a known calibration method by connecting calibration standards. Then, the characteristic data for the auxiliary network to be used is determined and is linked with the system error correction data to form new error correction simulation data. Finally, in the subsequent measurement of devices under test connected to the network analyzer, this error correction simulation data is appropriately considered with the algorithm for system error correction that is present in the network analyzer, so that an auxiliary network virtually connected to the device under test is simulated.
