  • Patent number: 6533442
Abstract: A beam light unit for vehicles, having a light module with a light source and a reflector, includes a downstream light output element to produce a predetermined light distribution. The light output element is mounted in a housing that leaves only a light outlet face of the light output element exposed, with sidewalls of the housing being in contact with jacket walls of the light output element immediately adjacent the light outlet face. Edge contours of the sidewalls correspond to a form of an edge of the light outlet face.

  • Publication number: 20020012249
Abstract: The invention concerns a headlamp for vehicles having a reflector, a light source arranged in a central zone of the reflector and an adjustment apparatus to adjust the reflector about a vertical pivot axis relative to a holding part into a predetermined curve-illumination operational position; with the reflector being in engagement with a shaft of the adjusting apparatus which is oriented parallel to the vertical pivot axis via a curved element rigidly coupled to the reflector and extending perpendicular to the vertical pivot axis, and with the reflector being mounted to be rotatable relative to the holding part by a coupling having a pretensioned centering spring element.

  • Patent number: 6158880
Abstract: A reflector lamp comprising a reflector and a light socket with light, in which the light socket can be rigidly connected to a receptacle located on the back of the reflector, has at least one connecting bracket on an outside of the socket that extends transversely to a longitudinal axis of the light socket and is guided longitudinally in a groove of the receptacle and can be positively connected by plastic deformation fit to the receptacle. A process for rigidly connecting the light socket and light to the receptacle involves adjusting the light socket and light in the reflector and positively connecting the light socket to the receptacle with laterally extending connecting brackets on the light socket that are guided in grooves in the receptacle for longitudinal displacement therealong.
