  • Patent number: 6490512
Abstract: A diagnostic system of an LED lamp system for a motor vehicle has a light control module for controlling an LED lamp via a supply wire and in case of malfunction, the LED lamp sends a diagnostic signal via the supply wire to the light control module. Additionally, the LED lamp, in case of malfunction, modulates a received current with a switchable current sink, whereby the light control module receives coded diagnostic information via the supply wire.

  • Patent number: 6364515
Abstract: A device for receiving a gas discharge lamp of an automotive headlight has a housing (1) in which an igniting apparatus is arranged. This housing (1) also has an insertion opening (2) with recesses (4) at an edge in an outer wall (3) of the housing for receiving a lamp base with radially projecting bayonet lugs (18) on the base, said lugs axially securing the lamp base (17) in the insertion opening (2) when the lamp base is turned into a locked rotational position. A box (9) is also provided on the housing (1) for a feeder plug (11) which provides an electric power supply. With such a device having an integrated igniting apparatus, mechanical locking is provided for the box arranged on the housing to prevent insertion of the feeder plug as long as a bayonet connection of a base of gas discharge lamp is not in the locked rotational position.

  • Patent number: 5526264
Abstract: An anti-lock brake control system comprises at least two micro-computers and at least two input/output circuits which monitor one another as well as functions of other components of the anti-lock brake control system. If faulty voltages appear within the anti-lock brake control system or if false values in transmitted signals occur, the anti-lock brake control system will be dependably shut down. By integrating a plurality of monitoring functions in the input/output circuits as well as by building redundancies into the anti-lock brake control system, a high level of safety is achieved, in spite of the small number of necessary components and the small production cost associated therewith.

  • Patent number: 5515278
Abstract: A circuit has circuit amplifiers (T1, T2) and inductive loads (MV1, MV2) with the circuit amplifiers being controlled by control signals provided by a microcomputer (MC). The circuit accomplishes this control while monitoring a load circuit, comprised of the circuit amplifiers and the loads, and terminates control of the circuit amplifiers, without assistance of the controlling microcomputer, upon occurrence of incorrect voltages in the load circuit. Thus, the circuit of this invention allows particularly fast termination of control of the load circuit upon the appearances of critical voltages and also allows the monitoring of the load circuits by the microcomputer in a particularly uncomplicated manner.
