  • Patent number: 10473575
Abstract: The invention relates to a nozzle for flow cytometry, the housing of which is tapering towards an outlet and in which a feed tube is arranged for a core flow liquid, the outlet opening of which is arranged at a distance from the outlet of the housing. The outlet of the housing forms the outlet of the nozzle. The housing of the nozzle extends from its outlet, which is arranged at its first end to its opposite second end, and has an inlet for a sheath flow liquid connected with the internal volume. • Patent number: 9034260
Abstract: The invention provides a device and a method for flow cytometric fractionation of particles contained in a fluid stream, wherein sections of the fluid stream, especially droplets if the fluid stream is a droplet stream, are irradiated with a laser. The laser disposed for the irradiation of the sections of the fluid stream can have a wavelength which is absorbed by the fluid and can have a sufficient radiation duration and radiation intensity to deflect sections of the fluid stream.

  • Patent number: 8649983
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and to compounds useable in the method for analysis of cells for the presence of an analyte and sorting the cells on the basis of the analyte. The compounds used in the method are optically detectable because of the content of a fluorochrome and contain a binder fraction which can specifically bind an analyte, in particular an oligonucleotide.

  • Publication number: 20120094352
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and to compounds useable in the method for analysis of cells for the pre-sence of an analyte and sorting the cells on the basis of the analyte. The compounds used in the method are optically detectable because of the content of a fluorochrome and contain a binder fraction which can specifically bind an analyte, in particular an oligonucleotide.

  • Patent number: 5841934
Abstract: A noise suppression apparatus and method for recorded luminance signals in which a level of an FM signal from the recording medium is detected, and the level of the recovered chroma signal is detected, the luminance signal is bandpass filtered and limited. A subtraction signal is generated based on the filtered and limited luminance signal and having magnitude based on the detected level of at least one of the chroma signal and the FM signal. The subtraction signal is subtracted from the luminance signal to generate a noise suppressed luminance signal. The passband of the bandpass filter may be varied based on at least one of the chroma signal and the FM signal.

  • Patent number: 5828791
Abstract: In a method for storing and playback of a repertoire of fixed videotexts, in which the videotext is stored by characters in digital form in an electrical memory, the quantity of the data to be stored can be effectively reduced in that in addition to the characters, position characters are stored and that for recurring, identical character sequences of greater length, instead of the character sequence, a reference to the location of the already stored character sequence is stored. The playback of the thus compressed texts can take place without problems in real time, i.e., without noticeable delay.

  • Patent number: 5659494
Abstract: An economical and less cumbersome method for the determination of an approximate standard deviation is implemented in hardware that does not require multipliers and root calculators. A mean value for a series of values is first calculated. Then, for each of the values in the series, the difference between the value and the mean value is calculated. Each of the differences is then classified in at least two different groups, with the classification corresponding to the size of the difference. The differences are then weighted according to the group in which they are classified. Finally, the weighted differences are summed and divided by an appropriate predetermined number. This method can be used in systems for noise suppression with a sigma filter.

  • Patent number: 5448304
Abstract: The present invention is a process for reducing the noise of a video signal (S1), in particular when reproducing a video signal stored on a video recorder, in which a window is defined around every signal value P (0,0,0) as an output signal value. A mean deviation (.sigma.) of the signal values in the window is established from the output signal values P (0,0,0), and an averaging of the output signal value is carried out with those neighboring signal values in the window which lie within limit values (So, Su) for the deviation from the output signal value P (0,0,0) dependent on the established mean deviation (.sigma.). The method is improved in its effectiveness by at least one threshold value (a1, a2) being fixed for the mean deviation (.sigma.=a/2), by the limit values (So, Su) for a mean deviation lying below the threshold value (a1, a2) being set with values (b) dependent on the established mean deviation (.sigma.) and by the limit values (So, Su) for a mean deviation (.sigma.
