Abstract: --A device and method for dewatering a mass of material and a method and system for recycling a biogenic material. A vertical press has a press space formed between a tool provided with openings and a press plunger movable relative thereto. Conveying means convey the mass of material from a feed side toward an opposite discharge side. The press space is laterally confined by opposite side walls but is not confined in the direction of the feed side and the discharge side. A biogenic material is converted microbially and/or enzymatically into gas and fermentation residues in a fermentation plant and the latter are dewatered by means of a vertical press to such an extent that thermal utilization is made possible.

Abstract: The invention relates to methods for preparing an olive (Olea europaea subsp. europaea), preferably acebuche (Olea europaea subsp. europaea var. sylvestris) composition, the olive or acebuche composition as prepared, and uses thereof in the prevention or treatment of a bacterial or fungal infection in mammals, preferably infection by antibiotic resistant or multi-resistant bacteria. Other uses relate to functional food additives, in particular an animal feed additive, or to uses in cosmetics.

Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for transferring cleaning bodies for a heat exchanger through which can flow a cooling fluid. The apparatus requires in the case of discontinuous operation a minimum number of drives operated with external power and has a casing which has an inlet connectable by means of a line to an outlet of the heat exchanger, as well as an outlet; a sink space, which is connected by means of a controllable closable and openable opening with the interior of the casing and an outlet connectable by means of a line to the heat exchanger inlet and a screening means located in the casing and which is positioned between the outlet of the casing on the one hand and the casing inlet on the other.

Abstract: In the cleansing especially of cooling water for a heat exchanger the installation of rotationally symmetric filter bodies in the cooling water feeder pipe and suction of sediments across a suction nozzle rotating on the windward side. Difficulties result therein in the production of a required back-flow through the filter and the avoidance of lateral airfluxes in front of the filter surface, as a certain gap is necessary between filter and suction nozzle for holding the sediments.
