  • Publication number: 20030057067
Abstract: A circuit breaker includes a switching contact arrangement and a drive apparatus which operates it, with the connection between the switching contact arrangement and the drive apparatus being designed such that it is detachable. For this purpose, a contact support of the switching contact arrangement contains a coupling bolt, which produces a hinged connection to a lever arrangement for the drive apparatus. A holding piece allows a actuating shaft of the drive apparatus to be rotated to a position, and to be fixed in this position. This allows the switching contact arrangement to be removed without any problem, and subsequently to be replaced by another switching contact arrangement. Once the control panel for the circuit breaker has been removed, the holding piece can be placed on the actuating shaft and can be attached to a front housing body of the circuit breaker where the control panel would otherwise be located.

  • Publication number: 20030001701
Abstract: A switchgear, for low-voltage switching units with a linearly-displaceable contact support, includes a case-like housing with guide grooves, running in the direction of travel of the contact support, in the housing side walls thereof. Suitable projections on the side of the contact support, engage in the grooves, whereby the linear travel of the contact support is achieved. Pivoting contacts are arranged on the contact support as displaceable switch contacts.

  • Publication number: 20030001702
Abstract: A current measuring device (15) for a multi-pole low voltage circuit breaker (1). comprises a support body (20) with a through opening for a current conductor (4) for each of the poles and a receiving chamber (22), surrounding the through opening (21), for secondary components (26, 31) of current sensors and/or current transformers. The support body (20) is essentially plate-like and rectangular and forms part of the rear wall (13) of the circuit breaker (1). Should Rogowski coils (26) be used as secondary components of a transformer, then adjustable voltage dividers are also mounted on the support body for interdependent adjustment. The multi-pole current measuring device (15) simplifies the production of circuit breakers as approved components.

  • Patent number: 5523536
Abstract: A multi-pole vacuum switch which has, for each vacuum switching tube, a pole operating unit with a lever arrangement for changing the direction of movement produced by a drive device. Two toggle levers are arranged in a casing of the pole operating unit. A first toggle lever is connected to the operating plunger of the vacuum switching tube and the second toggle lever is connected to a supporting lever. The supporting lever acts on a contact pressure spring via a pull rod. In the switched-on position (where the switch is closed), the first and second toggle levers are close to dead center. An adjustment device permits the toggle levers to be adjusted relative to the supporting lever.

  • Patent number: 5521348
Abstract: A multi-pole vacuum switch has an insulation assembly for each pole, which is composed of shell-like insulating elements. In addition to a space provided for receiving the vacuum interrupter, chambers are formed by wall sections, which are provided for receiving mechanical and electrical components of a pole unit. In particular, these electrical components are a loop-shaped, flexible strip conductor, a lever arrangement, contact springs and current transformers. Tensioning bolts which penetrate all the pole units connect the pole units to a pole block. The invention is suitable for use in vacuum power switches, in particular for low operating voltages.

  • Patent number: 5512724
Abstract: A vacuum switch including at least one vacuum switching tube and a pole operating unit which receives the vacuum switching tube at one of its ends. Each pole operating unit contains a lever arrangement for changing the direction of the operating movement provided by a drive device to the associated vacuum switching tube and a contact force spring. In addition, a connection contact surface for an external conductor is provided. The pole operating unit has a U-shaped carrier with elastically bendable legs. A connection device, also having a U-shaped cross-section, engages outside of the legs of the U-shaped carrier. A counter-bearing for the contact force spring is attached between the legs with when the legs of the carrier are bent. Alternatively, a cast metal connection device provided with cooling ribs can also be used.
