Abstract: A flat panel display, a fabricating method thereof, a fabricating apparatus thereof, a picture quality controlling method thereof and a picture quality controlling apparatus for reducing a recognizing degree of a defective pixel and electrically compensating a charging characteristics of the defective pixel are provided. In the flat panel display, a display panel has a plurality of pixels. A defective pixel is electrically connected to an adjacent normal pixel. A memory stores a location data that indicates a location of the link pixel and a compensation data that compensates for charging characteristics of the link pixel. A compensation circuit modulates a digital video data to be displayed on the link pixel on the basis of the location data and the compensation data.

Abstract: A flat panel display device includes a display panel, a memory storing a compensation value that corresponds to a panel defect location, the panel defect location being where any one of a brightness and a color difference exists compared to other part of the display panel, a compensating unit to adjust image data to be displayed in the panel defect location using the compensation value, and a driver to apply the adjusted image data from the compensating unit to the display panel.

Abstract: A dual-deck optical disc system and a method of controlling the dual-deck optical disc system enable data to be simultaneously recorded and reproduced. The dual-deck optical disc system may include a plurality of decks operable to record data on and reproduce data from optical discs mounted in the plurality of decks; and a controller that controls the plurality of decks to record an external signal on a first optical disc of the optical discs while reproducing data from a second optical disc of the optical discs.

Abstract: A circuit that drives a liquid crystal display device, includes an EEPROM having control data that over-drives and provides adaptive brightness intensification, the control data in the EEPROM is protected so as to secure reliability of the EEPROM. The circuit includes a master for over-driving and adaptive brightness intensification, a slave for providing control data to the master, a connector for connecting external writing equipment with terminals on the slave to write the control data into the slave, and an internal power supply of a liquid crystal module that applies an internal supply voltage to the slave. A write control terminal on the slave is grounded in a write mode, and connected to the internal power supply of the liquid crystal module in a liquid crystal module drive mode.
