Abstract: A method for creating a budget is disclosed. The method comprises defining a multi-dimensional data structure comprising a plurality of data containers, each to hold items of budgeting data corresponding to a first fiscal year. Each data container is assigned a unique identifier indicative of the data it is intended to hold, which data is generated by a data module. For a second fiscal year, updating the data structure to include new data containers to hold items of budgeting data corresponding to the second fiscal year; and generating budgeting data to be stored in the new cells by the data module, responsive to a single click.
