Patent number: 11295854Abstract: An improved patient check-in system for healthcare appointments is disclosed herein. Prior to a datetime of a healthcare appointment of a patient, an electronic health records application (EHR) receives a first message originating from a patient computing device of the patient. The first message includes a location of the patient and patient information for the patient. Responsive to receiving the first message, the EHR stores the patient information in a cache. The EHR also places a placeholder for the patient in a queue that indicates an order in which healthcare appointments for patients at the healthcare facility are to occur. Subsequently, the EHR receives a second message generated by the patient computing device indicating that the patient has arrived at the healthcare facility for the healthcare appointment. The EHR transfers the patient information from the cache to a data store accessible to the EHR.Type: GrantFiled: September 11, 2018Date of Patent: April 5, 2022Assignee: ALLSCRIPTS SOFTWARE, LLCInventors: Jennifer Castillo, Ankit Singh, Mark Plunkett, Devin Brown

Patent number: 10430851Abstract: A computing system for managing product customization is provided. The computing system includes instructions stored in memory and executable by a processor to receive, for each of a plurality of parts of a 3D product, a color selection input specifying a color selected by a user for that part, responsive to receiving the color selection inputs, generate a color histogram of the 3D product including a plurality of units, each unit being associated with one of the parts and assigned the color of that part, where the number of units allocated to each part is based on a size of the part, and display the color histogram in a graphical user interface.Type: GrantFiled: January 4, 2017Date of Patent: October 1, 2019Assignee: MICROSOFT TECHNOLOGY LICENSING, LLCInventors: Joseph Wheeler, Craig R. Maitlen, Devin Brown, Jurgen Brenkert

Publication number: 20190114819Abstract: In accordance with one implementation, a system for rendering dimensional surface content in a low-memory environment includes a dimensional surface content rendering tool to generate an animation object file defining inputs to a particle system, and an application that generates scene instructions based on output received from the particle system, the scene instructions including coordinate information for rendering an object at a series of positions. The system further includes a graphics engine that autonomously produces a series of draw commands responsive to receipt of the scene instructions to render multiple complete frames of an animation in a window of the application, the animation depicting the object at the series of positions.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 13, 2017Publication date: April 18, 2019Inventors: Samuel P. Patent number: 9345978Abstract: A toy figure assembly including a footing assembly in combination with a dual action actuator employing first and second working surfaces accessible through underside openings of the footing assembly for driving action movements of the toy figure by both a user's fingers and a piston driven controller secured to the footing. Further alternative embodiments with various alternative mechanism appendage couplings with the torso assembly through the footing gears, bracket or channel elements facilitate driven for movements in relation to the torso assembly moved relative to the footing assembly. Battling action game play may be expanded with the controller to battle virtual robots, allowing users to play various interactive computer based games.Type: GrantFiled: November 21, 2014Date of Patent: May 24, 2016Assignee: Hasbro, Inc.Inventors: Robert James Victor, James August Baker, Matthew Devin Brown, James Austin Rucker, William J Bryant

Patent number: 8540052Abstract: A hunting stand operable to provide an elevated position for a hunter wherein the platform of the stand includes a chair that is movably mounted on the platform. The chair is operably coupled to a base support member that is movably mounted within an annular channel that is integrally formed with the platform. The hunting stand further includes a frame having a plurality of longitudinal support members and horizontal support members. The platform further includes a centrally located hole that is operable to facilitate the positioning of the hunting stand such that the platform is surroundably mounted a tree. A plurality of apertures are journaled through the upper surface of the platform adjacent to the channel and function to receive a locking pin that functions to releasably secure the base support member in a position along the channel. The platform includes a railing mounted adjacent the perimeter of the platform.Type: GrantFiled: September 27, 2011Date of Patent: September 24, 2013Inventor: Devin Brown
