  • Publication number: 20260145651
Abstract: A system for trailer loading suspension sway and rollaway (TLSR) detection in a vehicle includes a trailer attached to a vehicle via a hitch. Sensors detect a load on vehicle suspension. A TLSR application monitors vehicle state information, determines that initialization conditions have been met, and monitors, via the sensors, vertical loads on front and rear vehicle axles. The TLSR application determines rear axle vertical load and generates at least one of: an overload alert, a sway alert, and a rollaway alert. Upon generating at least one of the overload alert, sway alert, and rollaway alert, the TLSR application notifies a vehicle operator that a vertical load exerted by the trailer has exceeded a positive load threshold, a calibratable minimum negative load threshold, and/or a calibratable negative rear axle load threshold unless and until none of the thresholds have been exceeded.

  • Patent number: 12583459
Abstract: A vehicle includes a method for operation. The vehicle includes a wheel, an actuator for controlling rotation of the wheel, a sensor for detecting a stuck condition for the wheel, and a processor for performing an automated rocking mode at the vehicle. The automated rocking mode includes engaging an engine of the vehicle into a first gear, rotating the wheel via the actuator with the engine in the first gear to create a first motion of the vehicle in a first direction, obtaining a traction indicator of the vehicle with the engine in the first gear, engaging the engine into a second gear when the traction indicator meets a traction threshold, and rotating the wheel via the actuator with the engine in the second gear to create a second motion of the vehicle in a second direction.

  • Patent number: 12552218
Abstract: An air spring suspension system includes first, second, third, and fourth air spring assemblies configured to support a frame of the vehicle at front and rear suspension/wheel assemblies of the vehicle. A valve block includes a valve. A compressor supplies pressurized gas to the valve block. A reservoir is in fluid communication with the valve block. The air spring suspension system includes first, second, third, and fourth height sensors. First, second, third, and fourth variable flow valves are in fluid communication with the valve of the valve block and the first, second, third, and fourth air spring assemblies, respectively. A pressure sensor senses pressure in the valve block. A vehicle kinematic sensor senses a vehicle kinematic parameter. A controller is configured to control the first, second, third, and fourth variable flow valves in response to the pressure, the first, second, third, and fourth height sensors, and the vehicle kinematic parameter.

  • Patent number: 12398800
Abstract: A shift system includes a shifter including a first switch, a second switch, and an interlock switch and being operable between a plurality of gear states. A controller is communicatively coupled with the shifter to receive signals that correspond to each of the first switch, the second switch, and the interlock switch. The controller includes a diagnostic counter that includes a passing criteria and a predetermined diagnostic threshold and is configured to adjust the diagnostic counter based on at least one of the signals received from the shifter being inconsistent with the others of the signals received.

  • Patent number: 10173703
Abstract: A system for optimizing the control of a train that includes an interface for receiving data representing a set of operational parameters for a train that will traverse a predetermined route. A server is interconnected to the interface and programmed to generate a plurality of scenarios using the same set of operational parameters but different control parameters. A simulator is programmed to perform a simulation of the operation of the train as described by the operation parameters and control parameters. The server is programmed to review the results of the simulation and score how closely the simulations achieved one or more performance metrics, thereby identifying which control parameters should be used by the train and allowing the control parameters to be transmitted to the train.
