  • Publication number: 20240174113
Abstract: An electric vehicle energy management method and system includes obtaining, from a grid interface, grid data indicative of an energy purchase price, an energy re-sale price, and a plurality of charging locations. The data is obtained from a vehicle management controller, including vehicle data indicative of mission information, an energy requirement associated with the mission, and an estimated charging time based on the energy requirement and a stored energy amount stored by the electric vehicle. Based on the grid data and the vehicle data, a strategy for charging and energy re-sale is generated, including selecting at least one charging location of the plurality of charging locations, and selecting at least one charging time for charging the electric vehicle at the selected charging location.

  • Publication number: 20230021044
Abstract: A method for thermal preconditioning at least one thermal buffer in a thermal system of a vehicle, the thermal system being a rechargeable energy storage system, RESS, and/or an energy transformation system comprising fuel cells. The method includes providing scheduled operational information of the thermal buffer, the scheduled operational information comprising a scheduled initialization time and scheduled operational load of the thermal buffer, determining whether the thermal buffer is in need of cooling or heating in order to reach a pre-determined temperature level, preconditioning the thermal buffer in accordance with the scheduled operational information such that the thermal buffer is thermally preconditioned by cooling or heating to the pre-determined level in accordance with the scheduled operational load at a time in accordance with the scheduled initialization time.

  • Publication number: 20220379739
Abstract: A high voltage traction system for a vehicle includes two independently controllable power sub-systems being a powertrain power sub-system, PPS, and a vehicle power sub-system, VPS. The PPS comprising a plurality of PPS secondary power consumers and a PPS master controller being configured to arbitrate power limits among the PPS secondary power consumers by a first arbitration logic, and the VPS comprising a plurality of VPS secondary power consumers and a VPS master controller being configured to arbitrate power limits among the VPS secondary power consumers by a second arbitration logic, different to the first arbitration logic. A master interface is between the PPS master controller and the VPS master controller enabling communication exchange between the PPS and VPS including system-shared instructions of prioritization of the PPS and VPS secondary power consumers limiting the first arbitration logic and/or the second arbitration logic in a limited state.
