Abstract: A system for a person receiving assistance with living activities includes a computer system providing capability (a) to provide information on an assisted person's living activities, and (b) to manage elements of commercial transactions between the assisted person and vendors. An assisted-person portal provides capability for an assisted person to initiate commercial transactions with vendors. A care-provider portal provides capability for the care provider (i) to access information about the assisted person's living activities, and (ii) to manage transactions initiated by the assisted person. Information on an assisted person's living activities may include data from sensors of the assisted person's movements, biometric data collection activity, biometric readings, and information about instrumental activities of daily living.
