  • Publication number: 20250074145
Abstract: In certain embodiments, a method of personalizing climate conditions in a vehicle includes determining, by a vehicle control system, a physiological status of an occupant of the vehicle. The method also includes determining, by the vehicle control system, a climate control response based on the physiological status of the occupant. The method also includes controlling at least one climate control device in relation to an interior of the vehicle based on the climate control response.

  • Patent number: 12172495
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for managing cabin conditions. A fogging metric can be determined. A control signal is generated based on the fogging metric. The system facilitates modification to the operation control of the at least one climate control device based on the control signal. Such a response can correspond to control of a target evaporator temperature of an HVAC system. The target evaporator temperature can be adjusted within a continuous range of available temperatures. As such, the operation of the evaporator can be adjustably tailored to the needs of addressing a fog factor while also maximizing efficiency of the overall system.

  • Patent number: 12103431
Abstract: A vehicle includes a vehicle cooling system for cooling a cabin and a battery system, each having a respective target operating range. The cooling system is configured to select among a cabin-only mode, battery-only mode, or a hybrid cooling mode for cooling the cabin and the battery system. In the hybrid mode, the system determines a desired pressure at an inlet of a compressor corresponding to a suction pressure of the compressor, to avoid cooling interruptions. The system generates a control signal based on the desired suction pressure, and applies the control signal to the compressor. Generating the control signal may include generating a feedforward signal the desired suction pressure, generating a feedback signal based on the suction pressure, or a combination thereof. For example, the use of hybrid mode based on suction pressure allows smoother response to targets with reduced delays in response in meeting the cooling demands.

  • Publication number: 20240217407
Abstract: A system includes one or more processors, coupled with memory, to receive, from a first sensor in a vehicle, temperature information. The one or more processors can identify a parameter of a device that provides airflow for a seat of the vehicle. The one or more processors can determine, via a model based on the temperature information and the parameter of the device, a temperature of a surface of the seat and control a temperature of the airflow provided via the device for the seat based on the temperature of the surface of the seat.

  • Publication number: 20240067129
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for managing cabin conditions. A fogging metric and a breath temperature metric are determined. A control signal response is generated based on the fogging metric and the breath temperature metric. The system facilitates modification to the operation control of the at least one climate control device based on the control signal response.
