  • Publication number: 20080087253
Abstract: A damper element for damping pressure pulsations in a liquid includes a first side including a first wall portion at least partially defining a chamber containing a gas and a second side including a second wall portion at least partially defining the gas-containing chamber. The second side is overlappingly joined with the first side such that the first and second wall portions combine to define substantially an entire cross-section of the gas-containing chamber. Both the first and second wall portions are convexly curved outwardly away from the gas-containing chamber.

  • Publication number: 20080000026
Abstract: A variable motion rocking bed is provided that includes a first support structure, a second support structure, and a frame, the frame capable of being in a rocking motion with respect to the first support structure and the second support structure. The rocking bed further includes a first pair of linkage assemblies secured between the first support structure and the frame, a second pair of linkage assemblies secured between the second support structure and the frame and at least one adjusting mechanism coupled to each of the first pair of linkage assemblies and to each of the second pair of linkage assemblies.

  • Publication number: 20070152524
Abstract: A throttle body assembly including an end plate. The throttle body assembly includes a housing having an inner wall, and a motor located within the housing. The motor end plate is coupled to the motor and is in contact with the inner wall of the housing. The end plate includes an outer edge having at least one protrusion extending therefrom. The contact between the end plate and the housing is substantially only between the at least one protrusion on the outer edge of the end plate and the inner wall of the housing.

The rocking bed further includes a first pair of linkage assemblies secured between the first support structure and the frame, and a second pair of linkage assemblies secured between the second support structure and the frame. The position of the first pair of linkage assemblies may be adjusted with respect to the first support structure and the position of the second pair of linkage assemblies may be adjusted with respect to the second support structure to change the shape of the rocking motion of the frame relative to the first support structure and the second support structure.

  • Publication number: 20060081220
Abstract: A damper for damping pressure pulsations in a liquid includes an outer tube having an inner surface defining an interior cavity, and an inner tube positioned within the interior cavity of the outer tube. The inner tube includes an outer surface such that at least one chamber is formed between the inner surface of the outer tube and the outer surface of the inner tube for containing a gas. The damper includes an exterior surface configured to be surrounded by the liquid and an interior surface configured to define a passageway through the damper for the liquid. The damper can define at least two, and in one embodiment, four separate chambers for containing a gas. The damper can be part of a fuel rail assembly and is positioned within a fuel rail configured to contain pressurized fuel.

  • Publication number: 20050066723
Abstract: A contact button is configured to move along a resistor path of a potentiometer in a first direction and a second direction opposite the first direction. The contact button includes a body having a first end configured to lead the body when the contact button moves in the first direction, and a second end configured to lead the body when the contact button moves in the second direction. At least one of the first and second ends are generally wedge-shaped to facilitate moving debris out of a path of the contact button as the contact button moves along the resistor path.

  • Publication number: 20050011559
Abstract: A fuel pump module includes a reservoir configured to hold a supply of fuel. The reservoir includes a fuel passageway and defines a first seat on a first side of the fuel passageway and a second seat on a second side of the fuel passageway. The module also includes a seal configured to be seated on the first and second seats to substantially seal the fuel passageway, and a weight biasing the seal toward the first and second seats by contacting the seal only at a location between the first and second seats. A gap may be defined between the weight and the seal, allowing fuel to enter the gap and further bias the seal toward the seats.
